Facial Stem Cell Injections for Skin Rejuvenation
Regardless of the controversy surrounding the use of stem cells, it can’t be denied that the benefits of stem cell use are endless. Just as stem cells have proven to be helpful in regenerating bone, tissue and cartilage, they are also an extremely useful tool when it comes to skin rejuvenation, such as repairing scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.
Stem cell rejuvenation is sometimes known by the name autologous cellular regeneration (ACR). In such applications, stem cells are extracted from autologous fat and are applied to the face to aid in skin rejuvenation thus repair scars, fine lines, wrinkles and bumps while contouring and perfecting the face. Stem sell rejuvenation has proven far more effective than other fillers and procedures promising similar results.
Because stem cell rejuvenation, or autologous cellular regeneration, is non-invasive with literally no recovery time, more and more patients are opting for this procedure over surgical face lifts, botox and other injectables. Improvements will be visible within 4 to 6 weeks of the procedure and can often be enhanced by light therapy. Stem cell regeneration is however at times unable to correct excessively deep wrinkles, and is occasionally ineffective on patients who drink, smoke or use drugs regularly.
