Scarring and scar tissue is something everybody experiences at some point in their life. Whether it’s from an injury, burn or surgical removal chances are you don’t want a scar. It’s impossible to prevent a scar from appearing after a laceration or cut has been made on the skin. However there are things you can do to ensure the scar heals properly and is less visible.

The C02 Fractional laser is a great treatment for scar removal. The laser works by resurfacing the skin it essentially takes off a think layer and as that skin heals it produces new cells and collagen. The production of new skin cells over the scar tissue helps dim or blend in the scar. This treatment can be used for burns marks, cuts, surgical treatments and much more.

The C02 laser is a treatment that requires multiple sessions. Typically scar removal requires 3-6 treatments before a significant difference in the skin can be seen. Depending on the severity of the scar treatments might need to continue for up to 2-3 years.
